Tradescantia is a famous houseplant that most know as Wandering Jew plant.

Tradescantia is a genus of about 70 species that are perennial plants in the family Commelinaceae. The plants are mainly found in the vast area from southern Canada to northern Argentina. And then mainly in wooded areas and in fields. They occur alone and in groups. The leaves are elongated, narrow and grassy to lanceolate.

The Tradescantia zebrina is a special houseplant because of its colorful leaves. The leaf is greenish-silver in color on the inside and is surrounded by a purple border. This makes the plant stand out from the other green houseplants.

This plant is also very hardy and can tolerate full sun.
