Asplenium is an evergreen fern, nicknamed as bird’s nest fern for rolling out it’s young leaves out of the middle of the plant that eventually grow into gracefull foliage.
Asplenium is an epiphyte and grows up in the tree canopies in its native habitat. Var. Crispy Wave characterised by tall rosettes of glossy ruffled leaves. This plant adapts easily to different climates and therefore is well suited for indoor growing. It will be happy on a north-facing windowsill as much as in a bright location as long as no direct sunlight on its beautiful graceful leaves.
Asplenium is popular for its air purifying qualities. Air purifying plants are capable to neutralise harmful gases by absorbing them and breaking them down, improve the humidity level in the air and convert carbon dioxide into oxygen.
